How to play
Your only control is a hold. Press and hold anywhere on the board — or hold
Space, W, S or an up/down arrow. Let go to release. That is the
whole input: there is nothing to steer and nothing to aim.
Holding winches the core up the line, and loads the line at the same
time. Letting go unloads the line — but the core sinks back down while you do it.
Two ways to lose, and both end the run: fill the load bar and the
line snaps; let the core sink to the bottom and it slips away. There is no
third thing to worry about.
The fight: every so often the core fights — the ring around it
flares first as a warning. While it fights, holding loads the line much faster and letting go
loses ground much faster, so you have to feather the hold instead of picking one.
Score: land a core at the top to bank it and the next one starts, heavier. Banking
quickly is worth more than banking slowly, so a steady nerve pays. Your best is
kept on this device, and after a run ends you go again by holding — or on your own hold,
if you never let go of it.
